This position is for a licensed plumber to install plumbing for residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling contracts completed by other Board Store employee carpenters. Installations are in Wisconsin and Minnesota within an approximate 60 mile radius of La Crosse. Applicants should have a current Wisconsin and or Minnesota journeyman license. Master plumber is a plus. Five day work week normal working hours. No nights or weekends. Service is limited to Board Store installations. Must be familiar with residential code and installations. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the installation of all plumbing work on a variety of home improvement projects
(bathrooms and kitchens).
- Installation of pipe assemblies, valves, fittings and appliances that incorporate water consumption, such as
dishwashers.
- Install plumbing fixtures, such as sinks and toilets.
- Inspect existing plumbing systems to determine if repairs are needed and perform repairs if applicable.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and perform testing to ensure
proper and safe operation.
- Utilize your expertise in this area to solve problems, communicate with our Operations staff, and help
customers with whatever questions they have.
- Physical requirements include regularly bending, twisting, and kneeling; being able to work in
uncomfortable positions for long periods of time; lifting and carrying between 20 – 50 lbs; and being able to
lift over your head up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure job sites are thoroughly cleaned up at the completion of each project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a clean driving record
- High school diploma
- Must have a plumbing license
- Experience using hand tools and power tools, as well as proficiency with test meters and other diagnostic
equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have attention to detail and be able to follow instructions well
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines

In this role you will be trained to perform the tasks comprising the root of The Board Store's business. You will act as a caretaker of our professional brand and reputation. This apprenticeship will involve assisting on installations of exterior products. You will develop a preference in specific installations but will work to become proficient in the others to accommodate whatever work is available. Through experience and company-sponsored training, you will gain an expert-level knowledge of the products we sell and our installation processes. You will utilize this knowledge to identify and solve problems that arise during the installation, communicate with our Operations staff, and ensure coworkers are performing their tasks in compliance with OSHA safety standards and The Board Store policies.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In this position you represent the face of The Board Store. Communicating with customers and coworkers
in a timely and professional manner is required.
- You must fill out all applicable paperwork, whether written or electronic, completely and accurately and
turn it in in a timely manner. This includes filling out your time records accurately.
- Job packets are received before a job begins and must be read thoroughly before the beginning of each
project.
- You will be part of a team responsible for a variety of Exterior installations, including removing and
installing windows and doors, tearing off and wrapping siding, installing gutters, and constructing
sunrooms. Other tasks and projects will be assigned as needed. Through this you will gain knowledge of the
installation process.
- Cleanliness is important to the experience and image of The Board Store. All jobsites will be cleaned and
free of hazards upon completion of the job.
- Lead and OSHA safety standards must be followed when they are applicable. This includes use of safety
gear and equipment.
- This position requires experience using hand tools and power tools, especially table saws and chop saws.
- Physical requirements involve standing for long periods of time; regularly bending, twisting and kneeling;
lifting and carrying between 30 – 50 lbs; and being able to lift over your head up to 50 lbs. You must be able
to climb ladders, scaffolding and planks.
