In this position you will be the hub of communication and information for all other parts of The Board Store. You will need to continuously grow your knowledge of products and adapt to the evolution of our business processes. You are responsible for answering all incoming calls and directing them to the correct department. This task will include taking messages and setting appointment for sales people. It is important that you assist customers in the showroom and give them a thorough overview of what we have to offer. This role includes maintaining documentation in the showroom, managing sales people’s schedules, and maintaining the showrooms cleanliness. Entering high volumes of information into our databases is required for this position. You must keep detailed notes of customer and salesperson conversations for future communication. This will involve the maintaining of customer and salesperson communication through calls, texting, emailing and mail.

In this role you will perform the tasks comprising the root of The Board Store's business while also acting as a caretaker of our professional brand and reputation. You will be the primary representative of the company during the installation process and thus will play a crucial role in shaping the customer's impression of their experience with The Board Store. Whether by yourself or in a two-person crew, you will be responsible for a wide variety of Interior installations, including removing and installing wet spaces, performing tub-to-shower conversions, installing cabinets or full kitchen remodels, removing and replacing vanities, and laying tile for flooring or backsplashes. You will develop a preference in specific installations but will work to become proficient in the others to accommodate whatever work is available. Through experience and company-sponsored training, you will gain an expert-level knowledge of the products we sell and our installation processes. You will utilize this knowledge to identify and solve problems that arise during the installation, communicate with our Operations staff, help customers with whatever questions they may have, and ensure coworkers are performing their tasks in compliance with OSHA safety standards and The Board Store policies. This position requires experience using hand tools and power tools, especially saws. You should be proficient in rough carpentry, finish and trim work, drywall installation and repair, and caulking. Familiarity with plumbing and electrical work will be helpful. Physical requirements involve standing for long periods of time; regularly bending, twisting and kneeling; lifting and carrying between 50 – 100 lbs; and being able to lift over your head up to 50 lbs. Strong customer service skills will be necessary to communicate with customers in a helpful and professional manner. Successful completion of your job requires you to be a team player, able to take instructions from Operations, Management, and the Interior Installation Supervisor. You will be expected to follow through on all aspects of the installation. This includes thoroughly reading through the job packet before beginning work; performing high-quality work efficiently and in compliance with OSHA standards and Board Store policies; communicating with Operations about concerns and updating them on the job status; ensuring the job site is cleaned up after work is concluded; accurately tracking your time for payroll and completely filling out all required paperwork for Operations. This is a full-time position that will consist of 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
